What are your plans for addressing tax policies?

I plan to reform tax policies by advocating for fair and equitable systems that prioritize working families and small businesses. Using a research-driven approach, I aim to develop effective solutions that address economic challenges. While history shows that tax cuts often benefit top earners first, I believe in policies that work from the bottom up, ensuring broader economic growth and stability.

One promising idea is the President's proposal to offer tax deductions on new car purchases—a practical way to put extra money into consumers' pockets and stimulate the economy. Additionally, I oppose renewing the Trump tax cuts, as they reduce the tax base, contribute to the deficit, and fail to directly reinvest money into the economy.

Another policy I propose is the creation of a national sovereign debt fund. This fund would be financed through investments in securities, real estate, and other assets. Over time, the returns from this fund could cover the annual budget, allowing the principal investment to grow. Once this goal is achieved, we could suspend the income tax system entirely.

How do you plan to make college more affordable?

I aim to make college more affordable by advocating for a nationwide early college high school program. This initiative will allow 9th-grade students to start working towards an associate degree alongside their high school studies. By the end of 12th grade, participants will graduate with both a high school diploma and either a community college or vocational school degree, depending on their choice.

Additionally, I will work to establish national standards for community colleges, ensuring their courses are universally accepted by colleges across the United States. This reform will effectively reduce the time required to complete a four-year college degree to approximately two years.

The benefits are clear: workers will enter high-earning careers two years earlier, and, as research suggests, this is estimated to increase annual tax revenue by 15-18%, helping to reduce the national deficit.
